Air conditioning is usually the biggest energy user in a commercial building and one of the most common sources of complaints. Why having electricians in-house matters for HVAC

A large share of air conditioning faults are really electrical: a failed contactor, a tripping circuit, an undersized supply for a new unit or a control wiring problem. When the HVAC technician and the electrician work for different companies, the building owner often pays for two visits and a round of finger-pointing. Our electrical team sits alongside our mechanical technicians, so dedicated circuits, switchboard capacity and control cabling are planned into the job from the start.

The same applies to controls. A BMS depends on network cabling and power, and increasingly shares infrastructure with access control and CCTV. Because we do security as well, we can tie plant schedules to building occupancy and keep all of it on one properly documented network.

Maintenance that keeps records straight

Regular servicing keeps coils clean, filters flowing and refrigerant charges right, which protects both comfort and running costs. We keep a service history against each unit, so you can see what has been done, what is wearing out and what should go into next year’s budget. Many clients bundle HVAC servicing with electrical testing and security health checks under a single maintenance contract.
